Halloween

Another Halloween has come and gone. This is my absolute favorite time of the year! I LOVE the decorations, the fall weather (everywhere except Arizona that is), the food - it's the best!

We didn't have an exciting halloween this year, but we did make some decorations and tried to enjoy the spirit despite the 90+ degree weather.

We found out Uley LOVES halloween too!

We had a mostly fun time carving. Jay broke our carving tools though so it made half the pumpkin EXTREMELY difficult. We managed to finish though and were able to roast all the delicious seeds! Uley even got to eat some pumpkin - yummm!

Now that it's over, I'm just ready for Christmas time!

VEGGASSS!!!

For my 21st birthday we went to enjoy a fun exciting weekend in VEGASSS (yes, necessary)!!!

We stayed at the Venetian and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My bar is officially set high for vegas! The hotel was amazingly beautiful and so big! We could have easily never left the hotel, seriously.

I mean really, just gorgeous!! Everything was amazing and over the top there.

My aunt, uncle, and cousins sent me this birthday gift while we were there. The champagne was great and so was that chocolate spread for the strwaberries, I wish we could have brought that back with us!

Ahhhh, THE SHOES! I finally got to wear my Jimmy Choo's. I was the happiest girl alive! 

We ate at this AMAZING resturant. It was seriously some of the best food I've ever eaten. We were in pure bliss of food this trip.

Our last night we met up with Jameson! Her and her hubby live here now, it was so nice to see her since we're all so far away ):

While the pictures are out of order, it just shows some of the amazing things we saw in Vegas. It was seriously so pretty and big there. I thought I'd only go once, but I wouldn't mind heading back. Total adult vacation! We got to dress up, eat nice, RELAX, gamble, have some drinks - it was a perfect grown up weekend away. I love spending time away with my fiance. 

Of course, we missed Uley though, couldn't stop talking about him. We're obsessed with our fur baby, what can I say!

Party like it's my birthday!

It took 21 years - but I finally made it! I finally turned 21!!

Jay woke up a little early to make me a breakfast of eggs, bacon, and cresent rolls. Also, since I wouldn't be able to have my first legal drink until the late afternoon, he went out before and got champagne so I could have mimosas with my breakfast. What a great start to the day!

I hurried and ate so I could open my presents, with fabulous 21 paraphernalia, clothes, and accessories! I am so lucky to have the people who love me send such sweet sentiments!

For dinner, we went to a classy establishment - In n Out! Since we were headed to Vegas for the weekend, I wanted something easy and was craving burgers! YUM!

I didn't get a picture, but in leau of birthday cake we had a traditional banana split from a local spot in downtown scottsdale, it was SOOOO good!

Afterwards we went to Dave and Busters for some drinks and games and would you believe I didn't even get carded! UGH! 

So, I made us go next door to another bar for one last drink, and they did card me! YAY!

It was a pretty easygoing birthday for turning 21, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It was perfect for me and it's so great to be able to spend it with Jay.

It feels great to be legal now!

Welcome Fall

It's been awhile. Not too much has happened though. School's going on (sucks), but the best month of the year is here - OCTOBER!

I LOVE everything about this month. It's my birthday month, it's halloween, it's truly the beginning of fall (in my eyes) it means all the holidays are coming, fair month, fall foods - see what I mean? It's perfect!

I have a lot to say about what we've done in October so far - but until then!

Rings!

Oh a shamless day of shopping, Jay and I decided to detour into a jewelery store and look around to see if we liked any wedding bands. We had been looking over the summer to get some ideas and figured we still had months to decide....
but of course while we weren't looking at all - we found exactly what we wanted!

Since we got them so early they're torturing us in their little boxes in my jewlery box. I can't wait to wear it - it's so pretty. Plus it means i'll then be MARRIED! ahhh hurry up!!

We got them so early, we will have to take them in per our warranty to get them cleaned before we can even wear it!

HEY GUYS!

I was sick for a long time, but I'm so much better now. I made sure to milk it for all its worth too, I had mom and dad waiting on me hand and foot. You won't believe how many treats and bones they'll hand out when they feel bad. Those suckers. Look, they even let me pick out a new toy at the store!

 But those were the good days, now they're torturing me. I'm on a "diet" and they never ever feed me, I think I'm going to starve to death. Look how sad I am.

Other than the lack of food though, things are great! I love my new home, the new couch is just my perfect height and I can cuddle in laps again and take up all the room. 

Mom & Dad have been super busy with school and stuff, but we get to spend lots of time together! We go for morning walks, sometimes night too! And they play with me all the time, I just LOVE my squeaky toys!!

Shout out to the best parents ever!!

One last semester!

It's finally come, after 2 1/2 years of undergraduate - I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Classes have started and this is my LAST SEMESTER OF UNDERGRAD!
With this excitement comes a whole lot of busy too.
Since we've moved in we've been hitting the ground running on school work, wedding planning, preparation for the GRE, grad school admissions, jobs applications, working out, upkeep in the apartment, and god knows what else! We've got my 21st birthday and Vegas to look forward to, my family coming in for graduation, and the holidays to keep us sane though!

Here's to another (last) semester and to the next 9 months of excitement and change!

Engagement Party!

At the start of the summer we had established with my mom & grandma that we would have an engagement party for us on our way back to Arizona. We would stop in Dallas for a few days, celebrate, do some wedding related tasks, and be on our way again.
For months it felt so far away - engagement party? yeah it'll be here in forever.
and then it was forever - and it was time for our party!

It was small and intimate, mostly for our family and wedding party to meet, but it was special. Seeing my mom and grandma go through so much work to celebrate Jay and I was really touching. They bought tons of stuff (they always go overboard), made beautiful invitations and, prepared lots of food. We had a fun evening talking with friends and eating all the amazing food! It was nice to have others celebrate our engagement with us!

We finished off the night by playing Just Dance!
